Got it all sorted this morning. I'm out of town at the moment and can't mess with router shit and I don't have that much free time. Next week though I'll be back in MA. Have you tried netplay yet? /jp/ can't seem to agree whether it's better/worse than the netplay for AC. At this point it at least looks better tailored for it. Let's hope this revives the meltan community on 4chan.

Yeah I tried netplay with a friend and it was working fine. You just need to make sure to forward your ports on your router.

I wish all the bookfriends in /jp/ hadn't already spoiled it for me long ago. It's done just as I envisioned it though, Shin Assassin and Berserkalot are perfect. I hope this results in:

a. A re-release of R1 Kara no Kyoukai
b. Some animation of Heaven's Feel
c. A remake of Tsukihime with motherfucking Zelretch.

Seriously I thought we had Carnival Phantasm to sustain people who are obsessed with Rin, rather than shoehorn her into a story she wasn't supposed to know anything about... Oh well, I hope we get an Assassin back story episode. That whole thing in the ED where the song swells and it pans up to the Fortress of Alamut is awesome, but it'll be kind of silly if they die without explaining at all who the Hassassins were beyond their reputation in the West.

I'm hoping this game will get a lot of support.

Also you should have seen the Norcal Install streaming high level 1v1 Catherine. Shit was so hype.

I didn't really understand all the Western hype for Catherine, it seems like a meh visual novel with block puzzles used as test for the new graphical engine I assume Persona 5 will run on. Either way yeah, I hope for support. I also remembered that Devil Summoner takes place in the same 'verse as Persona so maybe Raidou will be in it, and it'd be neat to reincorporate Philemon as an uber boss, or someone from Persona 1 or 2. I'd like to see a wraithish version of the Persona 3 MC with Thanatos too.

Also I've been playing Devil Survivor on my 3DS since I never got around to the original. A severely under-appreciated game, does such a good job of incorporating stuff from the main series and the Yahweh/Lucifer dialectic, especially compared to the blandfest that was Strange Journey's plot. Also six different game paths holy shit, I'm never going to be able to do everything in this game. The only bad part is no Shoji Meguro music but oh well.

It's not so much the visual novel part of the game that people were getting into, but the puzzle game itself. High level Catherine play requires a lot of skill, patience and mind games. That's what makes it so interesting and exciting.

I played some Catherine whilst visiting upstate NY. I now understand the dimensions of multiplayer. Fuck yeah sheep.

Persona 2 is amazing. Lisa is heroine of the year all years. Also her dad is Steven Seagal.

Watched the first episode of the P4 anime and wasn't really wowed...might watch it all when it's done. Also Izanami was totally a dude. That's not going to be awkward to explain later or anything. I guess it's magic, she aint gotta explain shit.

So these two and Naoto and Teddie fill it out. I was secretly hoping for Mitsuru but I didn't want to jinx it, Artemisia's crazy sword whip will be cool too. Akihiko...whatever. If the console version is really a year away I hope they throw in a non-P3/4 character or two. Now the wait begins :| .

I have to say Dance was everything I was hoping for in terms of continuing those three big story lines from Storm, and enough of the Feast chapters to answer some questions AND no Sansa chapters! Those are some great big kick in the balls cliffhangers at the end there, though.

Yeah, god damn GRRM. He still got me with Jon Snow even though it was so blatantly obvious that something had to happen there. :/ Tyrion in this book was like Arya early on - just drifting from captor to captor with no purpose, but at least the end he seemed to be taking control back.

Yeah, Jon said the words, he kept edging up to it then backing away before, but he finally crossed that line, it had to happen. Tyrion did feel sort of like a vehicle for developing Illyrio, Aegon, Jorah, etc. but it's still Tyrion, I enjoyed it. He is a great foil for the curmudgeonly bear.

Maybe more Arya and Sansa (ugh) too? They hardly got any in 4 . I feel like them plus Jon/Dany/Davos/Tyrion and maybe a smattering of Greyjoy/Dorne chapters is how 5 will go. If wikipedia can be believed though I would really like to see at least a little bit of the twins. For all of 4's shortcomings finally having a first-person glimpse into Cersei's insanity was really fulfilling.

As for FrankenGregor, I get this strange feeling GRRM is saving him for Gra(AAAAAAAA)vedigger Sandor, because that was so obviously him. He wouldn't spend all that time setting up the two of them only to deny a final confrontation (except he would, that fucker :| ).

Apparently. The chan was aptly pointing out that Rome in its first season did not have the budget for anything more than little fight scenes. This blows because we got cheated out of some big parts of GoT, but let us now hope that they'll make the Blackwater cool next season. Also they better not shit out on Dany next episode and only show the dragons' shadows or some bullshit. That's a pretty iconic scene...

Also they fucked up Varys' motivation bit and Ned's dream about Dorne/The Tower of Joy. Also instead of charming teenage white trash Shea is now apparently a 30-something sultry Turkish/German ex-porn star. I hope she can make people trust her enough for the big whomp whomp in SoS.

Agreed, much better than all the extra Theon Turncloak shit. Tyrion's strange little artificial family he builds up around himself is what makes 2 so great.
